About the Gallery

This photo tool was created for the wilderness community, reporters, editors, and web managers to make it easy to post and find photos to help promote sound conservation practices and wilderness protection.

Many -- but not all -- of the photos included here are public domain. Public domain photos are those listing a U.S. land management agency under "Usage Terms" within the background for each photo. Copyrighted photos may not be used without permission of the photographer. Please pay close attention to usage requirements included with each photo.
